The Enneagram Centers Typology
The Enneagram of Personality represents a combination of two distinct typologies: A three-category typology of the centers plus a nine category typology of the types.
Traditionally, the Enneagram centers have been associated with different regions of the human body. The center associated with the belly region is at the top of the symbol, the center associated with the heart region is on the right side of the symbol, and the center associated with the head region is on the lift side of the symbol.
Nine Types Categorized into Three Centers
In the Enneagram typology, types Eight, Nine, and One are categorized as Belly types; types Two, Three, and Four, are categorized as Heart types; and types Five, Six, and Seven, are categorized as Head Types.
